River Bend Warmth

A quick ride through River Bend Park in Horicon, Wisconsin in late October proved fruitful. I began photographing the wider scene with the real trees and reflection together. I then noticed the painterly quality of the reflection itself and zoomed in to isolate the most interesting part. The slight breeze rippled the water just enough to give it the feeling of an abstract painting. I chose this selection for the warm, dreamy palette with a hint of blue to balance the colors and help move the eye around. Photographed with an Olympus E-M1 and 14-150mm lens at 135mm, 1/200, f/8, ISO 400, polarizer filter.

Location: Horicon, Wisconsin.
